Statistics & Achievements
Track your time saved and unlock achievements as you use Snipset.
Snipset tracks every expansion event so you can see exactly how much time you're actually saving. The Statistics page turns your usage data into charts, actionable metrics, and a fun gamification system.
The Dashboard Overview
At the top of the Statistics page, you'll see three primary metrics:
- Total Triggers: The number of times any snippet has been expanded since you installed the app.
- Characters Saved: The total number of characters that Snipset typed for you. (Calculated by multiplying the snippet content length by the number of times it was triggered).
- Time Saved: An estimate of how many hours/minutes of typing you avoided.
WPM Tier Calculator
The "Time Saved" metric depends entirely on how fast YOU would have typed those characters manually. You can calibrate this setting directly on the Statistics page dashboard using the WPM Speed toggle buttons.
| Tier | WPM (Words Per Minute) | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Casual | 25 WPM | Average computer user. Results in a higher "Time Saved" calculation. |
| Average | 37 WPM | Typical professional typist. |
| Fast | 56+ WPM | Touch typist / power user. Results in a lower, more realistic "Time Saved" calculation. |
Charts & Visualizations
- Weekly Activity: A bar chart showing your trigger count per day for the last 7 days.
- 365-Day Heatmap: A GitHub-style calendar grid showing how often you used Snipset each day over the past year. Darker squares indicate more triggers.
- Top Snippets Ranking: A ranked list of your most frequently triggered snippets. This is incredibly useful for identifying which templates are your most valuable assets.
- Peak Hour: Shows which hour of the day you use Snipset the most.
- Recent Activity Feed: A chronological list of your last 20–30 expansion events.
Gamification — XP, Levels, and Streaks
To make productivity fun, Snipset includes an RPG-lite gamification system.
- XP & Levels: Every snippet expansion earns you experience points (XP). Accumulate XP to level up. Your current level badge is shown prominently on the dashboard.
- Streaks: Using Snipset at least once per day increments your streak counter. If you miss a full day, the streak resets to zero. Your current and longest streaks are tracked.
